Joining a Bon Vivant scheduled tour is perfect for one person, a couple, or a group of 3-7. Your scheduled tour will be shared with other guests from the public, but the maximum number of guests is 10 people, ensuring the personal attention, friendliness, and best use of time of a small group. Scheduled tour pricing is per person and varies with the wine tour. Scheduled tours are pre-planned for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the year and are listed on our Tour Schedule page. They are usually local day tours to the burgeoning wine village of Woodinville. Occasionally, we offer local 6-7 hour day tours to Bainbridge Island or Seattle city wineries wineries instead. Sometimes, we have farther ranging day tours to the Yakima/ Rattlesnake Hills wine area or to the Wenatchee Valley wineries (from the Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth to Wenatchee) within the Columbia Cascade wine region.

Private Group Tours

Private Day Tours: Any of our standard scheduled day tours may be provided as private group tours -- depending on winery, vehicle, and driver availability. These include tours to Woodinville, Bainbridge, Seattle City, Yakima/Rattlesnake Hills, and Leavenworth/Wenatchee wineries.

Private Two and Three Day Tours: If you have more time, you will want to consider our 2 and 3-day wine tours to sunny eastern Washington’s wonderful wine regions -- the entire Yakima Valley from Yakima to Prosser, the Red Mountain/Tri-Cities area, the Walla Walla Valley, and the complete Columbia Cascade wine region, including Lake Chelan. Almost all of Washington’s wine grapes are grown in eastern Washington viticultural areas. These are great trips for those wanting a more extended wine touring experience, including visits to some of Washington’s best vineyards and most scenic terrain. We also offer a wonderful two day overnight tour to some of the North Sound Wineries -- an association of wineries on Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Peninsula. Woodinville Wineries Day Tour
From Seattle, 10:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.

As home to the beautiful headquarters estate of Chateau Ste Michelle -- Washington’s largest, oldest, and most famous producer of fine wines -- the small town of Woodinville has become a center of the Washington wine industry. Just 25 minutes from Seattle, Woodinville also includes the public facilities of other major producers and a growing number of smaller family-owned wineries, specializing in small-lot premium wines. On the Woodinville day tour, you will visit 1 or 2 of the larger producers as well 3 or 4 smaller, winemaker-owned wineries.

We will pick you up and drop you off at your downtown Seattle hotel or other convenient Seattle meeting place. Most days, we will stop at an attractive and reasonably priced restaurant and wine bar for you to purchase your lunch in the congenial company of our other tour guests. Seattle City Wineries Day Tour

Wineries right in the city? Tucked away in the Pike Place Market, in a historic brick building, in metal buildings in industrial parks, almost underfoot in a strip mall, in the basement of a home in a quiet residential neighborhood are hidden some of the Seattle area’s most interesting wineries. Their wines are also very noteworthy. You will meet many of the winemakers themselves. We sometimes replace one of the winery visits with a chocolate factory tour and tasting or other gourmet food stop.

We will pick you up and drop you off at your downtown Seattle hotel or other convenient Seattle meeting place. If you wish to include lunch, we will arrange either a winery buffet or a stop at an attractive and reasonably priced restaurant and wine bar for you to purchase your meal. North Sound (Bainbridge Island and Olympic Peninsula) Overnight Tour
From Seattle, 9:00 a.m., to Port Angeles, 6:00 p.m. Return to Seattle, 6:00 p.m. the next day.

The north Olympic Peninsula, Bainbridge Island, and Whidbey Island are home to about a dozen wineries. A tour to some of these wineries presents a winning combination –some of the most distinctive small wineries in Washington state, great mountain and marine scenery, and a country getaway without going too far from Seattle. We will take a Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island and then drive from Bainbridge to the Kitsap Peninsula, cross the Hood Canal Bridge and visit wineries in the Port Townsend, Sequim, and Port Angeles areas.

In Seattle, we will pick you up and drop you off at your downtown hotel or other convenient Seattle meeting place. Most days, we will stop at an attractive and reasonably priced restaurant for you to purchase your lunch in the congenial company of our other tour guests. The Wenatchee Valley has long been famous for its apple and other fruit orchards. Recently, it has been turning into a very interesting grape-growing and winemaking area. We will visit wineries and vineyards from the Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth to the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers. All the wineries are very picturesque – and only one follows the Leavenworth Bavarian Alps theme.

Visit vineyards and wineries in the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee area and then south to the flats and basalt cliffs along the east side of the Columbia River. We end our wine tour in Quincy and George, WA. (Yes, it's a joke, but there really is a town called George, Washington).

Enjoy a three day (2 night) tour of wineries and vineyards in three incredibly scenic areas within the new Columbia Cascade wine region:

  Wenatchee Valley wineries and gourmet food venues in Bavarian-themed Leavenworth, Peshastin, Cashmere, Wenatchee --- from the alpine scenery of the Leavenworth area through the orchards and vineyards of the Wenatchee valley to the grand Columbia River.

  Lake Chelan is large enough to temper the weather extremes of a northerly location for its lakeside vineyards – and also to provide a beautiful, picturesque setting. Some wineries in the area are among the rising stars of the Washington wine industry.

Yakima Valley Wine Region

Yakima/ Rattlesnake Hills Day Tour
From Seattle 8:30 to 6:30, from Yakima 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tour the wineries and vineyards from the Yakima city area to Wapato, Buena, and Zillah in the western part of the Yakima Valley Wine Region. We often visit a tasting room in the Yakima city area, and then move southwest of the city, where the Yakima River cuts through the ridge at Union Gap and out into the broad, rolling terrain of the Yakima Valley. All but 70 acres of Washington’s vineyards are in eastern Washington and one-third of that is in the Yakima Valley. So most of the wineries here are located in or next to the vineyards that supply their grapes. This tour concentrates on the wineries and vineyards of the Rattlesnake Hills area.

For guests from Seattle, we will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel or other convenient downtown Seattle meeting place. The long sunny days and cool evenings of the desert climate provide the right sun and temperature conditions for great wine grapes. The sunny slopes and well-drained soils of the valley’s foothill ridges make the perfect terroir for producing wines of great intensity, balance, and complexity. In the midst of over 11,000 rolling acres of valley vineyards are some wonderful wineries – both big and small. Tri-Cities/Red Mountain Wine Region – 3 Day Tour
From Seattle at 8:30 a.m. and from Yakima at 11:00 a.m. on the first day. Return to Yakima about 4:00 p.m. and to Seattle about 6:30 p.m. on the third day.

Take a three day (two night) tour of vineyards and wineries in the Tri-Cities area. Red Mountain is the state’s smallest wine appellation, but on this hill between Benton City and Richland lie some of Washington’s most renowned vineyards – Klipsun, Kiona, Hedges, Golitzen, and Ciel de Cheval (a French reference to the “Horse Heaven Hills” to the south of Red Mountain). Their vines bear lush, firmly structured, full-bodied fruit. Red Mountain Merlot, for instance, tends to be more full-bodied with bigger tannins than Merlot from California or elsewhere in Washington. Though famous for its vineyards, Red Mountain also has several excellent wineries. There are other fine vineyards on the wide-open ridge slopes and valley floors nearby and some very good family wineries in the “tri-cities” of Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco.

South of the Tri-Cities and over the ridge of the Horse Heaven Hills lies a broad slope stretching south down to the Columbia River, where it forms the border between Washington and Oregon. Here are large acreages of more premium vineyards -- as well as one enormously significant winery near the town of Paterson – Columbia Crest. Owned by Stimson Lane, the corporate parent of Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest Winery is Washington’s largest single winemaking facility, with an annual production of 1.3 million cases. Despite the huge volume, Columbia Crest achieves high quality and hence great value in its wines.

Walla Walla Valley Wine Region – 3 Day Tour

Spend three days (two nights) on a trip to the buzzing, humming Walla Walla Valley wine region. Long known as an agricultural area dominated by wheat growing and also famous for its sweet onions, the valley’s reputation for producing exceptional wines began in the late 1970s and early 1980s with its first few present day wineries. Today there are more than 1000 acres of vineyards and over 70 wineries in the Walla Walla area. The climate, soil, and geographic conditions of the Walla Walla Valley afford a special location in which to grow wine grapes of superb quality. Although white wines are produced, the area is internationally noted for its red wines – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Walla Walla is also home to a thriving art community. In addition to the wonderful wineries and vineyards, you can explore museums, art galleries, antique shops, historic architecture, and public art.
